UP TET is a state level eligibility test conducted by UP Basic education Board to test the eligibility of candidates to recruit teachers for primary level and upper primary levels. Every year UP TET application form to test the eligibility is conducted. Check UP TET 2023 Educational Qualification
There will be two papers- paper 1 & paper 2, both have different eligibility criteria. We are going to discuss about eligibility for both papers in details.
Paper 1 for primary Teacher
- Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or college.
- They should have done BTCT from an institute recognized by the National Teacher Education Council Uttar Pradesh.
or
- They should have qualified the National Teacher Education Parishad from a recongnized institution.
or
- Candidates should have done B.Tech from a recognized university that should be affiliated with UGC or Uttar Pradesh Rashtriya Teacher Education Office.
or
- Candidates should have completed the two-year Diploma in education from the Indian Rehabilitation Parishad.
or
- They should have completed graduation from the university/ College affiliated with UGC and BTC Urdu training from Uttar Pradesh.
Paper 2 for upper primary teacher
- They should have completed graduation and have passed or appeared in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.(D.El. Ed)
or
- Candidates should have done graduation with minimum of 50% marks and should have passed or appeared in the 1st year of Bachelor in Education(B.ED).
or
- They should have completed graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and have passed or Appeared in 1st year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), as per the NCTE.
or
- Candidates should have completed senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and have passed or appearing in final year of B.El.Ed (4 years program).
or
- Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and have passed or appeared in the final year of 4 years B.Sc.ED/ BA or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
Uttar Pradesh TET 2023 Examination Scheme
- Mode of exam – offline.
- Paper – Two (paper 1 – Primary level, paper 2 – Upper primary level)
- Type of Questions – objective type.
- Total Questions – 150
- Duration of Examination – 2 hours 30 minutes.
- No negative marking.
